Kincardine downs Mount Forest in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Kincardine Bulldogs pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the Mount Forest Patriots on a clutch goal by Shawn Moore.

The win by Kincardine clinched the best of seven series at 4-2.

The Bulldogs were led by goalie Mitch Campbell, who finished with 47 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Campbell will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.65.

Kincardine's penalty kill excelled, as the Bulldogs gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

Kincardine stifled Mount Forest's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bulldogs kept the Patriots' goalie busy throughout the game, and John Nixon made 50 saves on 52 shots.

Kincardine was led by Sam Feagan, who finished with one goal. Feagan scored 12:29 into overtime to make the score 3-1 Kincardine. Chad Simpson also scored for Kincardine. In addition, Kincardine received assists from Dalton Hnatko and Luke Czuczman, who contributed one each.

Mount Forest forced the Bulldogs goalie Campbell to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots.

The Patriots were led by Luke Richardson, who scored the team's only goal. Richardson scored 19:31 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Kincardine. Trevor Hughson assisted on the tally.

Kincardine incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Mount Forest incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
