The Ayr Centennials opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to an 11-2 win over the Wellesley Applejacks. After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Wellesley faces elimination next time out. Ayr got the win behind a great game by Carver Ormiston, who had two goals and two assists. Ormiston scored the first of his two goals at 10:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ayr. Connor MacLean assisted on the tally. Ormiston's next tally made the score 8-2 Ayr with 3:25 left in the second period. MacLean picked up the assist. The Centennials forced Applejacks' goaltenders to work in net, racking up 42 shots and forcing 31 saves. Tim Bester made 17 stops and Keaton Weiss made 14. Ayr was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to two goals off of nine man advantages. Ayr additionally got points from Mackenzie Kemp, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Jake Whibbs, who also had two goals and one assist, Jackson White, who also grabbed two goals and one assist, Anthony Pullia, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Brendan Schaefer, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Ayr included Riley Clipper and Logan Beechey, who scored one goal each. More assists for Ayr came via Colin Schuringa, who had two and Kevan Hadad, Quinn Diamond, Tyler Mellish, and Andrew Richard, who each chipped in one. The Applejacks were led by Cal Jefferies, who had one goal and one assist. Jefferies scored on the power play 10:23 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Ayr. A checking from behind penalty on Felix Lantaigne had put Wellesley on the power play. Matt Schieck assisted on the tally. Tyler Seguin also scored for Wellesley. Other players who recorded assists for Wellesley were Sean McEwan and Chris Beauchesne, who contributed one each. Andre Keire recorded 26 saves for the Centennials. Ayr incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Centennials ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Lantaigne was ejected from the game. The Applejacks incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
