The New Hamburg Firebirds failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and the Tavistock Braves shook off a number of penalties to win, 4-0. With the win, Tavistock evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown. The Braves were led by Shaun Pickering, who had one goal and one assist. Pickering scored 10:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Tavistock. Derek Cowing picked up the assist. Tavistock's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six New Hamburg power plays. Others who scored for Tavistock included Jared Yantzi, Matthew Lupton, and Cody Bateman, who scored one goal each. More assists for Tavistock came via Angus Rowland, who had two and Jake Wiffen and Jordie Schneider, who contributed one each. Ben Larder recorded 18 saves for the Braves. Tavistock incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. For the Braves, Will Kilgour was ejected from the game. Tanner Topham made 23 saves for New Hamburg on 27 shots. The Firebirds incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. New Hamburg ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Taylor Wood was ejected from the game.
