Ridley College squeaks by Nichols School, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Ridley College Tigers escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Nichols School Vikings.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Mat Skripchenko's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

Skripchenko was all over the ice for Ridley College, as he had two goals in the win.

The Tigers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Nichols School power plays.

Ridley College additionally got points from Charles Levesque, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Ridley College also got a goal from Christian Girhiny as well. In addition, Ridley College received assists from Brendan Lochead, Will Lochead, Connor Hill, and Patrick MacDonald, who contributed one each.

Nichols School excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. The Vikings were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 18 penalty minutes.

Nichols School was helped by Nick Passafiume, who tallied one goal and one assist. Passafiume scored 7:43 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Erik Urbank assisted on the tally. Nichols School also got points from Urbank, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Nichols School were Cody Fleckenstein and Keaton Arkeilpane, who each chipped in one.

Evan DeBrouwer rejected 25 shots on goal for Ridley College. The Tigers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Jerry Baerwitz made 20 saves for the Vikings on 24 shots. Nichols School ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Carson Gicewicz was ejected from the game.
