Huge game by Fogarty boosts Sarnia over London, 6-3Western Fair CC Mon, Jan 19, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Sarnia Legionnaires' Jordan Fogarty had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 6-3 win over the London Nationals. Fogarty scored at 14:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Sarnia and again while 2:27 into the third to make the score 5-3 Sarnia.Sarnia's offense rang up 39 shots on London's net. Sarnia additionally got points from Ryan Vendramin, who also had two goals and one assist and Davis Boyer, who also registered one goal and two assists. Cody Trowell also scored for Sarnia. More assists for Sarnia came via Riley Babkirk, who had three and Tyler Longo and Ryan Trottier, who each chipped in one. The Nationals' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Sarnia power plays. London forced the Legionnaires goalie Cornel Felder to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. The Nationals were helped by Kyle L Robinson, who grabbed two goals. Robinson scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 11:46 into the second period to make the score 2-2. A cross checking penalty on Hunter Tyczynski had put London on the power play. Kevin Madden picked up the assist. Robinson's next tally on the power play made the score 3-3 with 1:26 left in the second period. Rai Di Loreto provided the assist. London also got points from Di Loreto, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, London received assists from Justin Murray and Scott Goodman, who contributed one each. Cornel Felder made 33 saves for Sarnia on 36 shots. The Legionnaires incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Justin Tugwell rejected 33 shots on goal for the Nationals. London incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Nationals, Drew Worrad was ejected from the game.
