Salt Lake City Moose stifles Las Vegas Storm's comeback, gains 4-2 victory

Salt Lake City Moose came close to giving away a three-goal lead to Las Vegas Storm, but did just enough to escape with a 4-2 victory.

Salt Lake City Moose led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Salt Lake City Moose's Brett Myer scored at 14:30 in the second period to put Salt Lake City Moose up 4-1.

Salt Lake City Moose put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Las Vegas Storm to score on any of its four power plays. Las Vegas Storm was unable to stop Salt Lake City Moose from sending pucks towards the net, and Salt Lake City Moose eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.

Salt Lake City Moose was helped by Jacob Liljeroos, who grabbed two goals. Liljeroos scored the first of his two goals at 8:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Salt Lake City Moose. Liljeroos' next tally made the score 2-0 Salt Lake City Moose with 8:34 left in the first period. Cole Corson picked up the assist. Salt Lake City Moose also got points from Myer, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Dmitry Kuznetsov, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Salt Lake City Moose received assists from Dan Veselovsky, Jurijs Moiseicenko, and Jonathan Svensson, who each chipped in one.

Las Vegas Storm was led by Quinn Travis, who registered two goals. Travis scored the first of his two goals at 24:45 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Salt Lake City Moose. Kyle Pacheco provided the assist. Travis' next tally made the score 4-2 Salt Lake City Moose with 4:12 left in the second period. Brandon Bavis picked up the assist. More assists for Las Vegas Storm came via Philip Traxler, who had one.

Ryan Gasparovic rejected 18 shots on goal for Salt Lake City Moose. Salt Lake City Moose incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Patrik Jokela recorded 35 saves for Las Vegas Storm. Las Vegas Storm incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
