Colorado RoughRiders outlasts Las Vegas Storm, 6-4

The game between Colorado RoughRiders and Las Vegas Storm was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Colorado RoughRiders emerged with a 6-4 win.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Thayne Trumbull's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

Tanner West was all over the ice for Colorado RoughRiders, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. West scored the first of his two goals at 19:14 into the first period to make the score 3-2 Colorado RoughRiders. Casey Riccatone provided the assist. West's next tally made the score 6-4 Colorado RoughRiders with -206 seconds left in the second period. Trumbull assisted on the tally.

Colorado RoughRiders surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Colorado RoughRiders averages 3.7 goals per game.

Colorado RoughRiders also got points from Christian Akita, who also registered one goal and one assist, Devon Pilkington, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Trumbull, who also had one goal and one assist. Colorado RoughRiders also got a goal from Padraic Ripple as well. Other players who recorded assists for Colorado RoughRiders were Nick Kukuris, Martin Bakula, and Mattijs Ossorio, who contributed one each and Walker Harris and Aidan Doughty, who each chipped in two.

Las Vegas Storm did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 10 saves.

Las Vegas Storm was helped by Vincent Dekumbis, who grabbed one goal. Dekumbis scored 12:09 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Arrigo Burgener provided the assist. Las Vegas Storm additionally got points from Burgener, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Las Vegas Storm included Nikita Larionov and Jiri Ryyppo, who scored one goal each. In addition, Las Vegas Storm received assists from Alkhas Kochkarev, who had two and Vito Carlo and Nathan Fournier, who contributed one each.

Josh Aycock made three saves before being replaced by Kirill Pustovalov, who took the win and made seven saves. Colorado RoughRiders finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-0 with the man advantage. Las Vegas Storm's Brian Coppola stopped 17 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Las Vegas Storm ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play.
