Huge game by Shleev boosts Butte Cobras over Tulsa Jr. Oilers, 7-0

Bogdan Shleev had two goals and one assist to lead Butte Cobras to a 7-0 victory over Tulsa Jr. Oilers.

Shleev scored at 11:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Butte Cobras and again while 24:05 into the first to make the score 4-0 Butte Cobras.

Butte Cobras' penalty kill excelled, as Butte Cobras gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

Butte Cobras stifled Tulsa Jr. Oilers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Butte Cobras' offense rang up 39 shots on Tulsa Jr. Oilers' net. Butte Cobras surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Butte Cobras has scored at the pace of 3.3 goals per game during the current campaign.

Butte Cobras additionally got points from Anton Zimmer, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, Zach Steuck, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Morgan Reiner, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Butte Cobras included Jacob Rudloff and Noakes Gordon, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Butte Cobras were James Kilgore, who had two and Ethan Cooney, Clinton Hildebrand, PJ Silveria, Chadd Lounder, Brock Solomon, and Josh Smith, who contributed one each.

Tulsa Jr. Oilers did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Tulsa Jr. Oilers averages 3.0 goals per game. Butte Cobras' defense shut down Tulsa Jr. Oilers' forwards for much of the game, and Tulsa Jr. Oilers got off only 10 shots during the contest.

Tage Rustgi recorded 10 saves for Butte Cobras. Butte Cobras incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Colter Pritchard made 32 saves for Tulsa Jr. Oilers on 39 shots. Tulsa Jr. Oilers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
