St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) wins tough contest against Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM), 4-2

St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) gutted out a close 4-2 win against Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM).

St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) gained the winning advantage on a goal by Luke Fraser 16:06 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer.

Jeff Makowski was all over the ice for St. Louis AAA Blues (MM), as he had two goals in the win. Makowski found the back of the net on the power play 4:29 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and again while 17:58 into the third to make the score 4-2 St. Louis AAA Blues (MM).

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) was unable to stop St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) eventually piled up 48 shots on goal.

St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) also got a goal from Zane OBryan as well. Other players who recorded assists for St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) were Andrew Schwietz, who had one, Josh Bell, who had two, and Tyler Hall, who had three.

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) was helped by Evan Nickels, who registered one goal. Nickels scored 2:10 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM). Brandon Tucker picked up the assist. Connor Stuart also scored for Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM). In addition, Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) received assists from Alex Aguirre and Chris Nicolai, who contributed one each.

Ellis Burgett recorded 18 saves for St. Louis AAA Blues (MM). St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM)'s Jaxon Castor stopped 44 shots out of the 48 that he faced. Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (MM) incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
