Chicago Fury (MM) uses shootout to best LA Jr. Kings (MM), 4-3 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Chicago Fury (MM) defeated LA Jr. Kings (MM) in a shootout 4-3 (1-0 SO).

The shootout featured six attempts between both teams.

Chicago Fury (MM) forced LA Jr. Kings (MM) goalie Robert Jacobson to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Chicago Fury (MM) was helped by Riley Meyer, who had one goal. Meyer scored 8:23 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Chicago Fury (MM). Others who scored for Chicago Fury (MM) included Hayden Smith and Kyle Siemers, who each put in one. In addition, Chicago Fury (MM) received assists from Thomas Martyn and Charlie Olson, who contributed one each.

LA Jr. Kings (MM)'s offense rang up 41 shots on Chicago Fury (MM)'s net.

LA Jr. Kings (MM) was helped by Aaron Aragon, who registered one goal. Aragon scored 12:12 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Colton Rhodes picked up the assist. LA Jr. Kings (MM) also got points from Lema Muradov, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. LA Jr. Kings (MM) also got a goal from Eetu Selanne as well. More assists for LA Jr. Kings (MM) came via Chase Dibari, Jacob Rosenbaum, Matthew Wiesner, and Jake Rainer, who each chipped in one.

PETER THOME recorded 38 saves for Chicago Fury (MM). Chicago Fury (MM) incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. LA Jr. Kings (MM)'s Jacobson stopped 27 shots out of the 30 that he faced. LA Jr. Kings (MM) incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
