LA Jr. Kings (MM) gutted out a close 4-2 win against New Jersey Rockets (MM). Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Lema Muradov secured the win for LA Jr. Kings (MM) with a goal in the third period. Jake Rainer had a great game for LA Jr. Kings (MM), netting two goals. Rainer scored at 14:54 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and again while 17:59 into the third to make the score 4-2 LA Jr. Kings (MM). LA Jr. Kings (MM)'s penalty kill excelled, as LA Jr. Kings (MM) gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. LA Jr. Kings (MM) stifled New Jersey Rockets (MM)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. LA Jr. Kings (MM) also got a goal from Austin Bowkus as well. In addition, LA Jr. Kings (MM) received assists from Joseph Thielen, who had one, Colton Rhodes, who had two, and Ryan Orgel, who had three. New Jersey Rockets (MM) was helped by Thomas Terranova, who tallied one goal. Terranova scored 8:07 into the second period to make the score 2-1 New Jersey Rockets (MM). Nick Jean-Louis assisted on the tally. Jeff Wu also scored for New Jersey Rockets (MM). More assists for New Jersey Rockets (MM) came via Dennis Ruppe and Marc Horvat, who contributed one each.
