Colorado State University boosted by Nelson's play in net, beats Lindenwood University - Belleville 2-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Meghan Nelson helped the Colorado State University Rams defeat the Lindenwood University - Belleville Lynx, 2-1.

Colorado State University was led by Chandler Art, who had one goal. Art scored 6:52 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Colorado State University. Sarina Perret provided the assist.

Lindenwood University - Belleville was unable to stop the Rams from sending pucks towards the net, and Colorado State University eventually piled up 46 shots on goal.

Colorado State University also got a goal from Molly Oneil as well. More assists for Colorado State University came via Sierra Dell, who had one.

The Lynx's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Colorado State University power plays. Lindenwood University - Belleville was held below its usual level of production. The Lynx put an average of 3.9 pucks into the net per game.

Lindenwood University - Belleville was led by Ashley Dietmeier, who scored the team's only goal. Dietmeier scored on the power play 6:22 into the second period to make the score 1-1. The Lynx had gained a power play chance when Nelligan Brown was whistled for boarding. Courtney Hoke assisted on the tally.

Nelson rejected 29 shots on goal for the Rams. Colorado State University ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. The Rams ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brown was ejected from the game. Firth Bidois recorded 44 saves for Lindenwood University - Belleville. The Lynx incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
