Shelby Tymkin netted a hat trick to lead Rainy River Community College over Minot State University, 3-1.

Tymkin's first goal came 15:48 into the second period. He then added goals at 10:09 into the third and at 10:19 into the third.

Rainy River Community College's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Minot State University power plays.

In addition, Rainy River Community College received assists from Taina Kaartinen, Katie Sinclair, and Aprel Assiniboine, who each chipped in one.

Rainy River Community College's defense shut down Minot State University's forwards for much of the game, and Minot State University got off only 11 shots during the contest. Minot State University did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up just one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Minot State University was led by Makayla Sandvold, who scored the team's only goal. Sandvold scored 10:02 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Minot State University. Alison Cygan picked up the assist.

Rainy River Community College's Shalynn Perry stopped 10 shots out of the 11 that he faced. Rainy River Community College incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jamie Powers recorded 19 saves for Minot State University.
