Ryan Boyle's goal in extra time proved to be the game winner, as the Orlando Titans defeated the Philadelphia Wings, 13-8 (OT).

Philadelphia trailed by one after the first quarter, but Orlando went into the second intermission with a 8-3 lead and never looked back.

Jordan Hall had a great game for the Titans, collecting six assists.

With 61 shots on target during the contest, Orlando exceeded the 41.3 shots it averages per game this year. The Titans surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Orlando averages 10.8 goals per game.

Orlando additionally got points from Matt Alrich, who also registered one goal and one assist, Boyle, who also registered one goal and two assists, Mike McLellan, who also registered two goals and one assist, Casey Powell, who also registered four goals and one assist and Pat Maddalena, who also registered two goals and two assists. Others who scored for Orlando included Bill Greer, who had two and Gregg Peyser, who had one. Other players who recorded assists for Orlando were Jarett Park and Patrick Merrill, who each chipped in two and Matt Zash and Chet Koneczny, who contributed one apiece.

The Wings put 70 shots on net during the contest, more than the 36.6 they average per game. Philadelphia could not produce its normal offensive output. The Wings put an average of 10.5 shots into the net per game.

Philadelphia was led by Dan Teat, who finished with two goals and two assists. Teat scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 10:11 into the first period to make the score 3-2 Orlando. The Wings earned a power play opportunity when Rory Smith was put in the box for elbowing. The goal was assisted by Jason Crosbie and Kevin Huntley. Teat's next tally on the power play made the score 12-5 Orlando with 19:04 left in overtime. Bill McGlone and Huntley registered the assists on the goal. Philadelphia also got points from Matt Giles, who also registered one goal and two assists, McGlone, who also registered one goal and two assists and Crosbie, who also registered one goal and one assist. Philadelphia also got a goal from Drew Westervelt as well. More assists for Philadelphia came via Josh Sims and Huntley, who each chipped in two and Geoff Snider, Kyle Sweeney, Shawn Nadelen and Steve Panarelli, who contributed one apiece.

Matt Vinc recorded 40 saves for Orlando. Brandon Miller made 32 saves for Philadelphia on 45 shots. The Titans won 13 faceoffs to 12 for the Wings. Peyser won 11 for the Titans.
