St. Andrews College rips Appleby College, 5-0

The St. Andrews College Saints were firing on all cylinders against the Appleby College Blue Dogs, and when the final buzzer sounded Saints emerged with a 5-0 win.

St. Andrews College was led by Alex MacDonald, who registered one goal. MacDonald scored 5:10 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Andrews College. Jacob Miller assisted on the tally.

The Saints forced Appleby College goalie Avery Gobbo to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots.

St. Andrews College additionally got points from Miller, who also had one goal and one assist and Emil Hiiri, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. St. Andrews College also had goals scored by Justin Fregona and Quentin Campbell, who each put in one. In addition, St. Andrews College received assists from Otto Saarimaa, who had two and Calvin Walker, Adam Sinclair, Reid Yochim, Austin Cho, and Mac Lewis, who each chipped in one.

St. Andrews College's Matthew Galajda stopped 18 shots out of the 18 that he faced. The Saints incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Gobbo recorded 44 saves for the Blue Dogs. Appleby College incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
