St. Andrews College rolls over Appleby College, 4-0

The St. Andrews College Saints had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over the Appleby College Blue Dogs.

St. Andrews College got the win behind a great game by Mac Lewis, who had two goals and one assist. Lewis scored the first of his two goals at 14:20 into the second period to make the score 2-0 St. Andrews College. Quentin Campbell picked up the assist. Lewis' next tally made the score 3-0 St. Andrews College with 17:05 left in the third period. Reid Yochim assisted on the tally.

The Saints excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Appleby College was unable to stop St. Andrews College from sending pucks towards the net, and the Saints eventually piled up 44 shots on goal.

St. Andrews College additionally got points from JD Falconer, who also registered one goal and one assist. Alex MacDonald also scored for St. Andrews College. Other players who recorded assists for St. Andrews College were Otto Saarimaa, Jacob Miller, and Emil Hiiri, who each chipped in one.

The Blue Dogs' offense were handcuffed by St. Andrews College's defensive play, and Appleby College managed only 14 shots on goal during the game.

Matthew Galajda made 14 saves for the Saints on 14 shots. St. Andrews College incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Avery Gobbo recorded 40 saves for the Blue Dogs. Appleby College incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
