St. Andrews College blows out Ulysses Prep, 5-2

The St. Andrews College Saints were firing on all cylinders against Ulysses Prep, and when the final buzzer sounded Saints emerged with a 5-2 win.

In the losing effort, Ulysses Prep was paced by New Player, who grabbed two goals. Player scored the first of his two goals at 17:26 into the first period to make the score 2-1 St. Andrews College. Player's next tally made the score 3-2 St. Andrews College with 10:58 left in the second period.

In a losing effort, Ulysses Prep was sparked by Player, who racked up two goals.

St. Andrews College stifled Ulysses Prep's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Ulysses Prep was unable to stop the Saints from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Andrews College eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. The Saints could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

St. Andrews College was helped by Emil Hiiri, who had one goal. Hiiri scored 4:32 into the second period to make the score 3-1 St. Andrews College. Alex MacDonald provided the assist. St. Andrews College additionally got points from Jacob Miller, who also registered one goal and two assists and MacDonald, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for St. Andrews College included Darren Iwai and Austin Cho, who scored one goal each. More assists for St. Andrews College came via JD Falconer, who had one and Calvin Walker and Justin Fregona, who each chipped in two.

Ulysses Prep did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 12 shots on net to force 10 saves. Ulysses Prep's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to the Saints' power play unit.

St. Andrews College's Cole Chapman stopped 10 shots out of the 12 that he faced. New Goalie rejected 26 shots on goal for Ulysses Prep. Ulysses Prep incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
