Lockport Express downs Syracuse Stampede in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Nicholas Siracuse gave Lockport Express a 4-3 (OT) victory over Syracuse Stampede when he scored 4:16 into the extra period.

Lockport Express overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Lockport Express trailed 3-1 after a goal by Syracuse Stampede's Braeden Pearl at 9:27 in the second period. Lockport Express tied things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Daniel Golba at 11:23 in the second period.

Lockport Express was sparked by Siracuse, who had one goal.

Lockport Express excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Lockport Express forced Syracuse Stampede goalie Ryan Scheide to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots.

Lockport Express additionally got points from Golba, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Lockport Express included Michael Crissy and Mark Friol, who each put in one. More assists for Lockport Express came via Ryan Logar, who had two and Peter Guido, Christian Whitcomb, and Christopher Gasiewicz, who each chipped in one.

Syracuse Stampede's offense rang up 32 shots on Lockport Express' net. Syracuse Stampede struggled on the penalty kill, allowing Lockport Express to score three power play goals on four chances.

Syracuse Stampede was helped by J.C. Lachapelle, who tallied one goal. Lachapelle scored 5:20 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Syracuse Stampede also got points from Pearl, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Joey Dupuis, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Syracuse Stampede received assists from Erik Smith, who had one.

Ian Stahl recorded 29 saves for Lockport Express. Lockport Express incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Syracuse Stampede's Scheide stopped 45 shots out of the 49 that he faced. Syracuse Stampede incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
