Rainy River Community College survived a determined comeback attempt by Minot State University on the way to a 3-1 win.

Rainy River Community College made the score 3-0 on a goal by Katie Sinclair at 3:53 in the third period, and Minot State University got as close as 3-1 when Brigitte Lafontaine scored 6:55 into the third period.

Rainy River Community College was paced by Hailey Clendenning, who tallied one goal. Clendenning scored 7:06 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Rainy River Community College. Shelby Tymkin assisted on the tally.

Rainy River Community College put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Minot State University to score on any of its three power plays.

Micah Cabral also scored for Rainy River Community College. In addition, Rainy River Community College received assists from Liz Henderson, who had one.
