Wesley Austin netted a hat trick to lead Roc City over Syracuse, 6-3.

Austin got on the scoresheet 9:17 into the second period. He then added goals at 16:54 into the second and at 12:23 into the third.

Roc City's offense rang up 54 shots on Syracuse's net. Roc City outdid its season average for goals scored. Roc City averages 3.9 goals per game.

Roc City also had goals scored by John Papas, Connor Guay, and John Melcher, who scored one goal each. In addition, Roc City received assists from Anthony DePetres, who had three, Bryan Smith and Aiden Conolly, who contributed one each, and Brian Wade and John Wise, who each chipped in two.

Syracuse was helped by Braeden Pearl, who had two goals and one assist. Pearl scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 1:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Syracuse. Syracuse had gained a power play chance when Guay was whistled for tripping. Derek Berard picked up the assist. Pearl's next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 8:58 left in the second period. Felix Landry provided the assist. Syracuse additionally got points from Landry, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Syracuse were Valters Midegs and Dan Buehler, who contributed one each.

George Collins made 26 saves for Roc City on 29 shots. Roc City incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Syracuse's Ryan Scheide stopped 48 shots out of the 54 that he faced. Syracuse incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
