Roc City wins tough contest against East Coast, 5-3

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Roc City escaped with a 5-3 victory over East Coast.

Roc City gained the winning advantage on a goal by Connor Guay 3:09 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

John Wise and Guay provided the spark for Roc City, combining for three goals and one assist. Wise finished with two goals and one assist and Guay also added one goal.

Roc City excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. East Coast was unable to stop Roc City from sending pucks towards the net, and Roc City eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. The defensemen of Roc City were also effective in East Coast's zone, and came away with two goals.

Roc City additionally got points from John Papas, who also had one goal and one assist and Anthony DePetres, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Roc City were Bryan Smith, Wesley Austin, Brian Wade, and Sam Cammilleri, who contributed one each.

East Coast's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

East Coast was led by Yannick Price-Prevot, who registered two goals. Price-Prevot scored the first of his two goals at 10:41 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Price-Prevot's next tally made the score 3-2 East Coast with 7:10 left in the second period. Marek Kocis assisted on the tally. Maxwell Campbell also scored for East Coast. More assists for East Coast came via Anton Ridgard, who had one.

Justin Nevinger recorded 25 saves for Roc City. Roc City incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Seth Corwin made 36 saves for East Coast on 40 shots. East Coast incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
