Huge game by Pearl boosts Syracuse over East Coast, 7-0

Braeden Pearl had four goals and two assists to lead Syracuse to a 7-0 victory over East Coast.

Pearl notched his first tally 17:35 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:22 into the second, at 15:56 into the second, and at 19:53 into the second.

Syracuse was boosted by Hunter Andersen, who turned in a shutout with 30 saves. Andersen managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.62 prior to the game.

Syracuse kept East Coast's goalie busy throughout the game, and Travis Spangle made 44 saves on 51 shots. Syracuse bested its season scoring average. Syracuse averages 3.5 goals per game.

Syracuse additionally got points from Felix Landry, who also finished with one goal and three assists and Joey Dupuis, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Travis Bobb also scored for Syracuse. Other players who recorded assists for Syracuse were Derek Berard, who had one and Xavier Perron, who had two.

East Coast stifled Syracuse's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Syracuse incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. East Coast incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
