GAME RECAP

New England downs East Coast, 4-1

Salem Icenter    Sun, Jan 11, 2015

Andre Nybo racked up one point to lead New England to a 4-1 victory over East Coast.

New England was often in penalty trouble, totaling seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 17.0 minutes per game New England had been spending in the box. New England's offense rang up 40 shots on East Coast's net.

New England also got a goal from Brendan Miller as well. More assists for New England came via Brian Glover, Steve Upton, Ian McNamara, Shayne Cummiskey, and Henrik Nilsson, who each chipped in one.

East Coast put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow New England to score on any of its six power plays.

East Coast was led by Michael Bellmore, who scored the team's only goal. Bellmore scored on the power play 2:01 into the third period to make the score 2-1 New England. East Coast had gained a power play chance when Nilsson was whistled for unsportsmanlike conduct. Marek Kocis picked up the assist.

Dane Pauls made 14 saves for New England on 15 shots. East Coast's Aidan Critchlow stopped 36 shots out of the 39 that he faced. East Coast incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
