Lockport outlasts Syracuse, 4-2

Lockport and Syracuse were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Lockport made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Nicholas Siracuse at 7:53 of the third period.

Lockport pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 21 penalty minutes.

Lockport was sparked by Siracuse, who racked up one goal.

Lockport also got points from Anthony Merante, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Frank II Vecchio, who also registered one goal and one assist. Lockport also got a goal from Michael Crissy as well. In addition, Lockport received assists from Mark Friol and Christian Whitcomb, who each chipped in one.

Syracuse was led by Xavier Perron, who had one goal and one assist. Perron scored 56 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Felix Landry picked up the assist. Braeden Pearl also scored for Syracuse.

Giancarlo Muglia made 16 saves for Lockport on 18 shots. Lockport registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Ludvig Kullen Dansarie rejected 24 shots on goal for Syracuse. Syracuse totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play.
