Huge game by DePetres boosts Roc City over Syracuse, 8-5Lakeshore Arena Sat, Dec 20, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Anthony DePetres was all over the ice for Roc City, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Roc City's 8-5 win over Syracuse. DePetres found the back of the net 11:44 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Roc City and again while 17:53 into the second to make the score 5-4 Roc City.Roc City pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 20 penalty minutes. Syracuse was unable to stop Roc City from sending pucks towards the net, and Roc City eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. Roc City surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Roc City averages 3.2 goals per game. Roc City also got points from Wesley Austin, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Dominic Gruttadauria, who also finished with two goals and one assist, John Wise, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Sam Cammilleri, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Roc City also got a goal from John Melcher as well. In addition, Roc City received assists from James Lockamyeir, who had two and Joseph Gardner, Aiden Conolly, and Zach Bucholz, who contributed one each. Syracuse kept Roc City's goalie busy throughout the game, and Justin Nevinger made 28 saves on 33 shots. Syracuse had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on nine chances. Syracuse was led by Braeden Pearl, who tallied two goals. Pearl scored the first of his two goals at 12:08 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Valters Midegs provided the assist. Pearl's next tally made the score 4-3 Syracuse with 8:20 left in the second period. Jean-Philippe Picard assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Syracuse included Josh Wallace, Joey Dupuis, and Dan Buehler, who scored one goal each. More assists for Syracuse came via Travis Hyde, who had two and Derek Berard, Charles Blais Dionne, and Xavier Perron, who each chipped in one. Roc City registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Ludvig Kullen Dansarie recorded 30 saves for Syracuse. Syracuse incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
