Petrowski leads Cape Cod to shutout victory over Maine

Brent Petrowski made 27 saves to complete the shutout and led Cape Cod to a 4-0 win against Maine.

Cape Cod was sparked by Charles Antoine Malenfant, who tallied one goal. Malenfant scored 15:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cape Cod. Chris Harris picked up the assist.

Cape Cod's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Maine power plays. Cape Cod's defense was surprisingly good. Cape Cod allows 3.0 goals per game.

Cape Cod additionally got points from Vasiliy Mironov, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Cape Cod also had goals scored by James Brosnan and Frank Oakley, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Cape Cod were Nikita Kusakin, Christian Holmes, Andrey Stankevich, and Jean Sebastien Dufort, who each chipped in one.

Maine's offense operated below its season average. Maine puts an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game.

Cape Cod incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Lucas Osborne recorded 26 saves for Maine. Maine incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
