Jersey Shore relied on the scoring touch of Vaclav Liprt, who netted two goals, to beat Syracuse, 7-3. Liprt's tallies came at 5:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Jersey Shore and 14:59 into the first to make the score 4-0 Jersey Shore.Jersey Shore also got points from Ilya Spektor, who also registered one goal and one assist, Martin Zahora, who also had one goal and one assist, and Adam Person, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Jersey Shore also had goals scored by Alexander Tan and Austin Crane, who scored one goal each. More assists for Jersey Shore came via Frederic Ampleman and Adam Skutchan, who contributed one each and Jiri Hajda and Alexandre Racicot, who each chipped in two. Syracuse excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Syracuse was helped by Jean-Philippe Picard, who grabbed two goals.
