New Hampshire takes care of East Coast early, wins 16-1

New Hampshire jumped out to an eight-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat East Coast, 16-1.

New Hampshire got the win with help from a great game by Alex Peddle, who had two goals and three assists. Peddle scored the first of his two goals at 4:30 into the first period to make the score 2-0 New Hampshire. Grant Lundquist assisted on the tally. Peddle's next tally made the score 4-0 New Hampshire with 13:02 left in the first period. Brett Bittner provided the assist.

New Hampshire's penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled five minors and two majors for 50 minutes in penalty time. New Hampshire surpassed its season average of 15.0 penalty minutes per game. New Hampshire forced East Coast's netminders to work between the pipes, firing 71 shots and forcing 55 saves. Aidan Critchlow made 47 stops and Jack Stafford made eight. New Hampshire's goal total was higher than its season average. New Hampshire has scored at the pace of 4.8 goals per game during the current campaign. New Hampshire got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.

New Hampshire also got points from Josh Crane, who also grabbed one goal and four assists, Simon Campbell, who also had one goal and one assist, David Fish, who also finished with two goals and one assist, Tim Casey, who also registered two goals and one assist, Chris Babineau, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Bittner, who also had one goal and four assists to lead the team in points. New Hampshire also got a goal from Mike Heffernan as well. More assists for New Hampshire came via Tyler Burton, Josh Bowman, and Travis Blinkhorn, who contributed one each and Ryan Dunfield, Nick Pino, and Mike Callaghan, who each chipped in two.

East Coast found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 11 shots against New Hampshire's defense.

Maxwell Campbell also scored for East Coast. In addition, East Coast received assists from Tony ORourke and Samu Landen, who contributed one each.

New Hampshire's Claes Endre stopped 10 shots out of the 11 that he faced. New Hampshire registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities. East Coast incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors. For East Coast, Michael Bellmore was ejected from the game.
