Dupuis' big game bests East Coast Minutemen in 10-0 Syracuse Stampede win

Joey Dupuis had five goals and two assists to lead Syracuse Stampede to a 10-0 victory over East Coast Minutemen.

Dupuis' first goal came 6:17 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:02 into the second, at 9:22 into the third, at 11:39 into the third, and at 14:16 into the third.

Syracuse Stampede forced East Coast Minutemen's goaltenders to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots and forcing 35 saves. Jack Stafford made 35 stops and Seth Corwin made zero. Syracuse Stampede put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow East Coast Minutemen to score on any of its four power plays. Syracuse Stampede surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Syracuse Stampede averages 3.5 goals per game.

Syracuse Stampede also got points from Braeden Pearl, who also grabbed one goal and four assists and Erik Smith, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Syracuse Stampede also got a goal from Jean-Philippe Picard as well. In addition, Syracuse Stampede received assists from Valters Midegs, who had four, Derek Berard, Xavier Perron, Travis Hyde, and Dan Buehler, who each chipped in one, and Charles Blais Dionne and Travis Bobb, who contributed two each.

East Coast Minutemen was often in penalty trouble, totaling seven minors and one major for 19 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 12.0 minutes per game East Coast Minutemen had been spending in the box.

Syracuse Stampede's Hunter Andersen stopped 15 shots out of the 15 that he faced. Syracuse Stampede incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
