Racicot nets hat trick, leads Jersey Shore to 8-2 win over Roc City

Roc City could not stop Jersey Shore's Alexandre Racicot, who tallied a hat trick in an 8-2 win.

Racicot's first goal came 2:22 into the second period. He then added goals at 7:31 into the second and at 11:11 into the third.

Jersey Shore excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Jersey Shore forced Roc City goalie George Collins to work between the pipes, taking 57 shots. Jersey Shore outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, Jersey Shore averages 5.3 goals per contest. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Jersey Shore additionally got points from Konstatin Mamedov, who also had one goal and one assist, Arthur Raevsky, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Travis Valvo, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Jiri Hajda also scored for Jersey Shore. More assists for Jersey Shore came via Martin Zahora, who had two and Ilya Spektor, Austin Crane, Dylan Jenkins, Frederic Ampleman, JaColbie McGowan, and Wayne Jackson, who each chipped in one.

Jersey Shore was unable to stop Roc City from sending pucks towards the net, and Roc City eventually piled up 47 shots on goal. Roc City's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to Jersey Shore's power play unit.

Roc City was helped by James Lockamyeir, who racked up one goal and one assist. Lockamyeir scored 9:04 into the third period to make the score 6-2 Jersey Shore. Anthony DePetres picked up the assist. Roc City also got points from Wesley Austin, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.

Jersey Shore's Tyger Howat stopped 45 shots out of the 47 that he faced. Jersey Shore incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Collins recorded 49 saves for Roc City. Roc City incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
