Zahora's hat trick boosts Jersey Shore over Roc City, 8-3

Martin Zahora netted a hat trick to lead Jersey Shore over Roc City, 8-3.

Zahora notched his first tally 12:52 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:56 into the second and at 15:56 into the third.

Jersey Shore led by only one goal at the end of the first period, but put the game away by scoring three goals in the second.

Jersey Shore forced Roc City's netminders to work without much rest, taking 68 shots and forcing 60 saves. Justin Nevinger made 30 stops and George Collins made 30. Jersey Shore found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Jersey Shore averages 5.3 goals per game.

Jersey Shore additionally got points from Ilya Spektor, who also had one goal and one assist, Alexandre Racicot, who also tallied two goals and two assists, Arthur Raevsky, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Travis Valvo, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Jersey Shore were Frederic Ampleman, who had three, Austin Crane, Adam Person, and Dylan Jenkins, who each chipped in one, and Alexander Tan and Justin Apgar, who contributed two each.

Roc City forced Jersey Shore goalie Marc Schlaeger to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots.

Roc City was led by Wesley Austin, who had one goal and two assists. Austin scored 2:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Roc City. Bryan Smith picked up the assist. Roc City also got a goal from Anthony DePetres as well. In addition, Roc City received assists from James Lockamyeir and Zach Buchholz, who each chipped in one.

Marc Schlaeger made 43 saves for Jersey Shore on 46 shots. Jersey Shore incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Roc City incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
