Latham nets hat trick, leads New England Stars to 6-3 win over East Coast Minutemen

Jake Latham netted a hat trick to lead New England Stars over East Coast Minutemen, 6-3.

Latham's first goal came 7:28 into the second period. He then added goals at 15:26 into the second and at 23 seconds into the third.

New England Stars additionally got points from Andre Nybo, who also had one goal and one assist. New England Stars also had goals scored by Henrik Nilsson and Justin Carchia, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for New England Stars were Steve Upton, who had three, Steve Crocker and Cam Webster, who each chipped in one, and Brian Glover and Tim Paige, who contributed two each.

East Coast Minutemen found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 14 shots against New England Stars' defense.

East Coast Minutemen was helped by Samu Landen, who finished with one goal. Landen scored on the power play 8:07 into the first period to make the score 2-0 East Coast Minutemen. East Coast Minutemen had taken the advantage when New England Stars' Kyle Weiss got sent off for slashing. Matt Bauchman assisted on the tally. East Coast Minutemen also got points from Bauchman, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. East Coast Minutemen also got a goal from Steven Leonard as well. In addition, East Coast Minutemen received assists from Matthew OConnor and John Field, who each chipped in one.

Dalton Doire recorded 11 saves for New England Stars. New England Stars incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Aidan Critchlow made 10 saves for East Coast Minutemen on 16 shots. East Coast Minutemen incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For East Coast Minutemen, Timothy Sullivan was ejected from the game.
