New Hampshire Fighting Spirit downs Maine Wild, 4-1

Mike Heffernan finished with one point to lead New Hampshire Fighting Spirit to a 4-1 victory over Maine Wild.

New Hampshire Fighting Spirit stifled Maine Wild's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Maine Wild was unable to stop New Hampshire Fighting Spirit from sending pucks towards the net, and New Hampshire Fighting Spirit eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

New Hampshire Fighting Spirit also had goals scored by Alex Peddle, Josh Bowman, and Chris Babineau, who scored one goal each. In addition, New Hampshire Fighting Spirit received assists from Josh Crane, who had two and Tyler Burton, Andrew Gass, Frederic Pugin, Mike Callaghan, and Brett Bittner, who each chipped in one.

Maine Wild was led by Taylor Zion, who scored the team's only goal. Zion scored 16:04 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jake Dickson assisted on the tally.

Claes Endre made 21 saves for New Hampshire Fighting Spirit on 22 shots. New Hampshire Fighting Spirit totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Jon Fields rejected 34 shots on goal for Maine Wild. Maine Wild incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
