The M2 North Carolina State University Wolfpack and the M3-North Carolina - Wilmington Seahawks skate to 3-3 (OT) tie

M3-North Carolina - Wilmington trailed M2 North Carolina State University by three in the second period, but the Seahawks did not give up and the game ended in a 3-3 (OT) tie.

The Wolfpack did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. M2 North Carolina State University puts an average of 5.1 pucks into the net per game. Team could not crack M3-North Carolina - Wilmington's penalty kill and was held to two power play goals while having nine opportunities to play with the man advantage. By firing 50 shots on goal, the Wolfpack exceeded the 0.4 shots they average per game this year.

M2 North Carolina State University was helped by Andrew Cooke, who racked up one goal. Cooke scored on the power play 14:08 into the second period to make the score 2-0 M2 North Carolina State University. The Wolfpack had gotten the advantage when the Seahawks' Alex Furtado was sent off for cross checking. Nate Sprankle provided the assist.
