Motor City Monarchs survived a determined comeback attempt by Michigan Ice Dogs on the way to a 4-3 win.

Motor City Monarchs took a 4-2 lead during the third period, only to have Michigan Ice Dogs storm back on a Joseph Russo goal 5:12 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Motor City Monarchs was paced by Trevor Pode, who racked up one goal and one assist. Pode scored 1:21 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Motor City Monarchs. Tory Shand assisted on the tally.

Michigan Ice Dogs was unable to stop Motor City Monarchs from sending pucks towards the net, and Motor City Monarchs eventually piled up 52 shots on goal.
