Huge game by Jonak boosts Motor City Monarchs over Alpena Flyers, 5-2

Adam Jonak had two goals and one assist to lead Motor City Monarchs to a 5-2 victory over Alpena Flyers.

Jonak scored at 15:45 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Motor City Monarchs and again while on the power play 18:40 into the second to make the score 4-0 Motor City Monarchs.

Motor City Monarchs forced Alpena Flyers goalie Hunter Myers to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Motor City Monarchs capitalized on Alpena Flyers' penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage.

Motor City Monarchs also got points from Anthony Wojciechowski, who also had one goal and two assists and Joseph Gibbs, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Julian Willibey also scored for Motor City Monarchs. Other players who recorded assists for Motor City Monarchs were Trevor Hillman, Corey Finnemore, Zach Kopinski, Alec Domin, and Jarrad Vroman, who contributed one each.

Alpena Flyers kept Motor City Monarchs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Collin Fritch made 32 saves on 34 shots.

Motor City Monarchs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Hunter Myers made 29 saves for Alpena Flyers on 34 shots. Alpena Flyers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
