Traverse City Hounds wins tough contest against Soo Firehawks, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Traverse City Hounds escaped with a 4-2 victory over Soo Firehawks.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Kevin Cole secured the win for Traverse City Hounds with a goal in the second period.

Traverse City Hounds was led by Austin Flores, who tallied one goal. Flores scored 7:27 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Traverse City Hounds.

Soo Firehawks was unable to stop Traverse City Hounds from sending pucks towards the net, and Traverse City Hounds eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

Traverse City Hounds additionally got points from Clayton Dowlan, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Cole, who also had one goal and one assist. Kyle Winkelman also scored for Traverse City Hounds. In addition, Traverse City Hounds received assists from Cam Fisher, who had two and Stan Swiderek and Grant McCormack, who each chipped in one.

Soo Firehawks stifled Traverse City Hounds' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Soo Firehawks' offense rang up 33 shots on Traverse City Hounds' net.

Soo Firehawks was led by Zach Eitrem, who finished with one goal and one assist. Eitrem scored 12:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Soo Firehawks. Mario Taranto picked up the assist. Soo Firehawks also got a goal from Daniel Bachynsky as well.

David Krejcik rejected 31 shots on goal for Traverse City Hounds. Traverse City Hounds incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Mackenzie Bruce made 33 saves for Soo Firehawks on 37 shots. Soo Firehawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
