Hunter Myers recorded a shutout against Soo Firehawks as Alpena Flyers picked up a 9-0 win.

Alpena Flyers got the win with help from a great game by Brandon Bihn, who had two goals and two assists. Bihn scored the first of his two goals at 12:46 into the second period to make the score 5-0 Alpena Flyers. Shane Dawson provided the assist. Bihn's next tally made the score 7-0 Alpena Flyers with 3:30 left in the second period. Sam Charboneau picked up the assist.

Alpena Flyers was often in penalty trouble, totaling nine minors and one major for 43 minutes in penalty time. Alpena Flyers surpassed its season average of 20.0 penalty minutes per game.
