Traverse City Hounds vanquishes Alpena Flyers in shootout, 4-3 (2-1 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Traverse City Hounds defeated Alpena Flyers in a shootout 4-3 (2-1 SO).

The shootout lasted for 12 attempts between the teams. Alpena Flyers got a shootout goal from Garret Bailey. Traverse City Hounds' other shootout goal was scored by Patrick Rogowski.

Traverse City Hounds' offense rang up 36 shots on Alpena Flyers' net.

Traverse City Hounds was led by Cam Fisher, who had two goals. Fisher scored the first of his two goals at 6:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Traverse City Hounds. Kevin Cole provided the assist. Fisher's next tally made the score 3-2 Traverse City Hounds with 16:17 left in the third period. Traverse City Hounds played down a man on Scott Luca's tripping. Kevin Hansen assisted on the tally. Traverse City Hounds also got a goal from Rogowski as well. Other players who recorded assists for Traverse City Hounds were Austin Flores and Jan Voves, who each chipped in one.

Alpena Flyers was led by Brandon Bihn, who registered two goals. Bihn scored the first of his two goals at 11:54 into the second period to make the score 1-1. James Stacey picked up the assist. Bihn's next tally made the score 2-2 with 3:56 left in the second period. Andrew Phillips provided the assist. Jared Kwiatkowski also scored for Alpena Flyers. In addition, Alpena Flyers received assists from Bailey, who had one.

Justin Abdelhak rejected 25 shots on goal for Traverse City Hounds. Traverse City Hounds incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Brett LeTourneau made 32 saves for Alpena Flyers on 35 shots. Alpena Flyers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
