Krejcik leads Traverse City Hounds to shutout victory over Soo Firehawks

David Krejcik was superb between the pipes for Traverse City Hounds, as he did not allow a goal in a 5-0 victory over Soo Firehawks.

Cam Fisher had two goals and one assist to lead Traverse City Hounds. Fisher scored the first of his two goals at 6:34 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Traverse City Hounds. Patrick Rogowski provided the assist. Fisher's next tally made the score 4-0 Traverse City Hounds with 2:55 left in the second period. Kevin Hansen assisted on the tally.

Traverse City Hounds stifled Soo Firehawks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Soo Firehawks was unable to stop Traverse City Hounds from sending pucks towards the net, and Traverse City Hounds eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Traverse City Hounds additionally got points from Austin Flores, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Rogowski, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Kyle Winkelman also scored for Traverse City Hounds. In addition, Traverse City Hounds received assists from Clayton Dowlan and Travis Kirk, who each chipped in one.

Soo Firehawks was held below its usual level of production. Soo Firehawks puts an average of 2.7 pucks into the net per game.

David Krejcik made 30 saves for Traverse City Hounds on 30 shots. Traverse City Hounds totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play.
