Matthew MacLaren gave Soo Firehawks a 5-4 (OT) victory over Alpena Flyers when he scored 4:29 into the extra period.

Daniel Bachynsky was all over the ice for Soo Firehawks, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Bachynsky scored the first of his two goals at 8:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Soo Firehawks. Dyllon Anderson picked up the assist. Bachynsky's next tally made the score 3-2 Soo Firehawks with 18:07 left in the second period. James Goudreau provided the assist.

Soo Firehawks pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 23 penalty minutes.
