Detroit Fighting Irish survived a determined comeback attempt by MC Monarchs on the way to a 6-5 win.

Detroit Fighting Irish made the score 6-2 on a goal by Shawn Eastman at 7:52 in the third period, and MC Monarchs got as close as 6-5 when Jarrad Vroman scored 11:55 into the third period.

Detroit Fighting Irish could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.
