Rogowski's hat trick boosts Traverse City Hounds over MC Monarchs, 5-2

MC Monarchs could not stop Traverse City Hounds' Patrick Rogowski, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-2 win.

Rogowski notched his first tally 7:08 into the second period. He then added goals at 14:59 into the second and at 7:23 into the third.

MC Monarchs' power play was ineffective against Traverse City Hounds' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Traverse City Hounds' penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled six minors and two majors for 32 minutes in penalty time. Traverse City Hounds had been averaging 27.0 minutes in penalties per game. Traverse City Hounds' offense operated below its season average.
