Huge game by Dowlan boosts Traverse City Hounds over Berkley Bruins, 10-2

Clayton Dowlan had one goal and four assists to lead Traverse City Hounds to a 10-2 victory over Berkley Bruins.

Dowlan beat John (Hunter) Myers with a shot 7:53 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Traverse City Hounds. Grant McCormick provided the assist. Dowlan dished an assist on McCormick's goal that made the score 4-1 Traverse City Hounds at 12:20 into the second period. He then added assists on Travis Kirk's goal at 18:32 into the second, on McCormick's goal at 11:12 into the third, and on McCormick's goal at 17:53 into the third.

Traverse City Hounds was often in penalty trouble, totaling seven minors and one major for 39 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 32.0 minutes per game Traverse City Hounds had been spending in the box. Traverse City Hounds forced Berkley Bruins' goalies to work without much rest, getting 62 shots and forcing 52 saves. Myers made 31 stops and Jacob Gorzelski made 21. Traverse City Hounds excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.
