Jonak's big game bests Berkley Bruins in 12-3 MC Monarchs win

Adam Jonak had four goals and six assists to lead MC Monarchs to a 12-3 victory over Berkley Bruins.

Jonak's first goal came 12:04 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:28 into the second, at 26 seconds into the third, and at 7:31 into the third.

MC Monarchs forced Berkley Bruins' goalies to work without much rest, taking 47 shots and forcing 35 saves. Hunter Myers made 24 stops and Schuyler Patterson-Rostine made 11. MC Monarchs stifled Berkley Bruins' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. MC Monarchs surpassed its usual scoring output this season. MC Monarchs has scored at the pace of 8.0 goals per game during the current campaign.

MC Monarchs also got points from Bryce Peplinski, who also had one goal and two assists, Andrew Krolikowski, who also racked up two goals and one assist, Trevor Pode, who also tallied two goals and three assists, Joseph Gibbs, who also registered one goal and three assists, Jarrad Vroman, who also had one goal and six assists, and Alfonso DiMercurio, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, MC Monarchs received assists from Derrick Treppa and Tyler Skulley, who contributed one each.

Berkley Bruins also had goals scored by Timothy Muhsman, Tory Shand, and Alex Anderson, who scored one goal each. More assists for Berkley Bruins came via Julian Willibey, Logan Wilt, and Zachary Elkins, who each chipped in one.

MC Monarchs' starting goalie, Tyler Skulley, made 21 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Joseph Burks, who stopped six shots. MC Monarchs totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-7 on the power play. For MC Monarchs, Matthew Snyder was ejected from the game. Berkley Bruins totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major and went 0-for-3 on the power play.
