Michelin leads Adrian College to shutout victory over Michigan University of

Emily Michelin made 45 saves to complete the shutout and led the Adrian College Bulldog to a 1-0 win against the Michigan University of Wolverines.

Cara Harm's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 6:40 in the third period. Adrian College earned a power play opportunity when Mercedes Reyes was put in the box for tripping. Amanda Antos provided the assist.

The Bulldog were led by Harm, who had one goal.

Adrian College excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Bulldog's offense were handcuffed by Michigan University of's defensive play, and Adrian College managed only 14 shots on goal during the game. The Bulldog could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Wolverines were held below their usual level of production. Michigan University of puts an average of 3.8 pucks into the net per game. The Wolverines forced Adrian College goalie Michelin to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots.

The Bulldog registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Michigan University of's Kelsey Duggan stopped 13 shots out of the 14 that he faced. The Wolverines incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
