Colorado State University downs Wisconsin University of, 5-1

Alicia Ziff grabbed one point to lead the Colorado State University Rams to a 5-1 victory over the Wisconsin University of Badgers.

Colorado State University stifled Wisconsin University of's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Rams forced the Badgers goalie Nali Mullan to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots. Colorado State University got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Colorado State University also got points from Ali McGuire, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Colorado State University included Molly Oneil, Hannah Samlowski, and Kelly French, who each put in one. In addition, Colorado State University received assists from Amanda Gacioch, Sierra Dell, and Sarina Perret, who each chipped in one.

Wisconsin University of's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to the Rams' power play unit.

The Badgers were led by Brenna Freiermuth, who scored the team's only goal. Freiermuth scored 6:28 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Colorado State University. Jessica Kanter assisted on the tally.

Mackenzie Roberts recorded 15 saves for Colorado State University. The Rams incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Nali Mullan made 40 saves for Wisconsin University of on 45 shots. The Badgers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
