Belle Tire (MM) uses shootout to best Ohio Blue Jackets (MM), 4-3 (2-1 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Belle Tire (MM) defeated Ohio Blue Jackets (MM) in a shootout 4-3 (2-1 SO).

The two teams needed 12 turns to complete the shootout. Ohio Blue Jackets (MM) got a shootout goal from Kole Sherwood. In addition to the clincher, Belle Tire (MM) got a shootout goal from Mitchell Galea.

Belle Tire (MM) forced Ohio Blue Jackets (MM) goalie Grant Valentine to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Belle Tire (MM) was led by Galea, who had one goal and one assist. Galea scored 15:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Belle Tire (MM). Trevor Coykendall picked up the assist. Others who scored for Belle Tire (MM) included Dean Hewines and Marshall Moise, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Belle Tire (MM) were Austin Linville and Justin Metropoulos, who contributed one each.
