Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) completes comeback, beats LA Jr. Kings (MM), 4-3

Undaunted by a three-goal deficit, Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) battled back to claim a 4-3 victory over LA Jr. Kings (MM).

Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) never led in the game until netting the game winner. Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) trailed 3-0 after a goal by LA Jr. Kings (MM)'s Matthew Wiesner at 11:34 in the first period. Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Dylan Rauh at 2:34 in the third period. Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) scored the game winner at 13:39 in the third period on a goal by Rauh.

John Greer had a great game for Colorado Thunderbirds (MM), netting two goals.

Jack Doremus also scored for Colorado Thunderbirds (MM). Other players who recorded assists for Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) were Alex Bates, who had two and Blake Terry and Jake LeBauer, who each chipped in one.

LA Jr. Kings (MM) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) to score on any of its five power plays.

LA Jr. Kings (MM) was helped by Jake Rainer, who registered one goal. Rainer scored 7:35 into the first period to make the score 2-0 LA Jr. Kings (MM). Eetu Selanne provided the assist. LA Jr. Kings (MM) also got a goal from Aaron Aragon as well. More assists for LA Jr. Kings (MM) came via Ryan Orgel, Colton Rhodes, Chase Dibari, and Jacob Rosenbaum, who contributed one each.

Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) took out Ben Roberts after he had made three saves and installed Tom Barendregt in goal, where he finished with 15 saves and the win. Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Robert Jacobson recorded 26 saves for LA Jr. Kings (MM). LA Jr. Kings (MM) incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
