Jickling's goals lift Liberty University to 6-1 victory over Lindenwood University - Belleville

The Liberty University Flames relied on the scoring touch of Carrie Jickling, who netted two goals, to beat the Lindenwood University - Belleville Lynx, 6-1.

Jickling found the back of the net 2:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Liberty University and again while 4:30 into the first to make the score 2-0 Liberty University.

Liberty University managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Flames ended up below its season average of 10.0 penalty minutes per game. Liberty University kept Lindenwood University - Belleville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Firth Bidois made 44 saves on 50 shots. The Flames' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Liberty University additionally got points from Autumn Kucharczyk, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Liberty University also had goals scored by Jenny Macarthur, Courtney Gilmour, and Clarissa Tipping, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Liberty University were Chelsey Greenwood and Sarah Fowler, who contributed one each and Sarah Stevenson and Madison Fischer, who each chipped in two.

The Lynx's offense operated below their season average. Lindenwood University - Belleville puts an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game. The Lynx did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 11 shots on net to force 10 saves.

Lindenwood University - Belleville was led by Reagan Fuller, who scored the team's only goal. Fuller scored 13:14 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Liberty University. Maddy Millar provided the assist.

Chantal Lischynski rejected 10 shots on goal for Liberty University. The Flames registered one goal on three power play opportunities. The Lynx incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
